Congratulations! You’ve enrolled in one of the National Energy Foundation’s (NEF) K-12 energy education programs. Soon, Energy Educators will be visiting your classroom to give a fun and educational presentation about all things energy. While NEF will take care of everything behind the scenes, there are a few things you can do to get the most out of your experience.

Before Presentation Day

To set yourself up for success, make sure to stay on top of all communication from the NEF team. Our coordinators will contact you to accommodate your schedule, send important reminders and update you about receiving program materials. You can also contact us for any help or changes that need to be made. See how easy it is to work with our coordinators to set up your presentation!

Presentation Day

Presentation day has arrived! We are excited, and hope you are too. Between time crunches, technology issues and absences, we know things change quickly. Our Energy Educators will arrive early to set up and accommodate any last-minute adjustments. You can also have students prepare questions to ask after the presentation. Our Energy Educators will answer as many questions as time allows. Here’s one example of how we adapt to your needs!

After Presentation Day

Just because presentation day is over doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. The classroom poster can act as decoration and a reminder to students about what they learned. You can extend the learning with the included lesson plans, classroom activities and e-learning resources on the program website. Check out more ways you can keep the energy flowing!

We hope you enjoy your experience partnering with NEF to promote energy literacy. We’re so grateful for your support in accomplishing our mission. If you’re interested in hosting one of our programs at your school, you can sign up for our teacher community newsletter for more information!
